Take care of your doggo, grab them with the mouse! Spin them with a flick. Swipe on poos to clean them up!

Doggo sleeps between 10pm and 8am :-)


Also if you want your dog to hang out with you, choose the lowest resolution in the launcher and check windowed to let it chill with ya while you do other stuff

RETROSPECTIVE

This was the second game I made for game a week, with the theme of 'Durational', that is, games that play with the passage of time in some meaningful way. I had originally intended to make a much more ambitious walking sim with a museum that would rewind time to where you started every 60 seconds, with a maze like structure that you would slowly learn. As I got into it I quickly realized how much work this would be and was far too unfamiliar with making complicated indoor environments to complete it in time. In the end I scrapped it and was inspired by the bloom effects in the post-processing suite I was using to create this simple vitural pet which I squeezed out in about 2 and a half days. It was an important learning moment in recognizing how much easier leaning into my strengths (namley playful characters and physics) can make the process and how trying to learn too much at once can be very difficult.
